Nami Solar obtains one of the first safety certificates for rooftop solar projects in Dong Nai

While rooftop solar (RTS) systems are among the cleanest and safest energy sources, photovoltaic (PV) systems, just like other types of electric generation, present the risk of electrical hazards. At Nami Solar, we are at the forefront of deploying stringent control measures and best practices to mitigate such risk.

In May 2021, the company obtained a fire safety certificate for its Dong Nai Port’s 1.6 MWp RTS project – one of the first certificates of this kind issued in Dong Nai Province by the Dong Nai Police’s Fire Control Department. This certification reaffirms Nami Solar’s commitment to complying with local and international standards of quality and safety as well as underscores its capabilities in sustainably investing in RTS business.

In a technical audit conducted by a leading European independent engineering consultant earlier this year, the solar projects invested by Nami Solar in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ba Ria- Vung Tau are assessed to have good quality compared to others examined in Vietnam in recent years, especially regarding materials and equipment protection. The audit report confirmed that safety and operation & maintenance facilities were properly invested in, as evidenced by the carefully installed walkways and lifelines on the roof as well as the solar panel cleaning systems and “these features are of a standard beyond that of comparable projects on the Vietnamese market of late”.
