As Vietnam embraces a rapid transition towards cleaner and more secure energy, building a strong and supportive policy framework is critical for a successful transition. Nami Energy has been actively contributing to developing policies for the energy sector through business associations and green development initiatives such as Vietnam Business Forum, Eurocham and Green ID.
Speaking in a 15-minute programme broadcast on VTV2 on 2 November, Luu Hoang Ha, Chairman of Nami Energy, highlighted the need for an investor-friendly policy approach to mobilize the needed capital to support the country’s energy transition to more renewables.
“Vietnam's renewable energy sector presents great potential for the investors. We need to ensure investor-friendly policies to attract private capital. This includes transparency and predictability, and the elimination of intermediation layers to optimise investment money and reduce overall energy cost”, said Luu Hoang Ha.
The programme is part of a TV series on sustainable development produced by VTV2 in collaboration with Green ID.
