Nami Energy Sponsors KOCHAM 2021 Golf Tournament

Nami Energy was pleased to take part in and sponsor the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kocham) 2021 Golf Tournament, held by Kocham Binh Duong on 17 December at the Twin Doves Golf Club. Mr. Luu Hoang Ha, Chairman and Mr. Choi Heung Yeon, Vice President, represented Nami Solar, a subsidiary of Nami Energy, at the tournament and presented Nami-sponsored raffle items at the charity dinner.

South Korea has been one of the leading investors in Vietnam for years. Nami Solar collaborates with Korean manufacturing companies on rooftop solar development, empowering them to pursue green growth, achieving their export targets and carbon emission reduction commitment. Mr. Choi Heung Yeon, once the Standing Vice Chairman of Kocham, said Korean investors are very keen on applying clean energy in their operations in Vietnam to drive supply chain innovation.

This trend echoes the Korean government’s recent efforts to promote a green economy as part of their coronavirus recovery package. Korean leaders had declared their commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 in Dec 2020, whilst Vietnam recently made the same announcement at the UN COP26 summit in Nov 2021.
